History<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Chapter was created due to a need to have an extension of CIAPR that would provide services to its membership that resided in the United States. This was made apparent in a national meeting in 1997 in Louisiana between CIAPR members that resided abroad and representatives from CIAPR as well as the Department of State of Puerto Rico Engineering and Surveying Examining Board and other government representatives.<\/p>

The Exterior Chapter started as an interim body in August 1997. In 1999, it was organized as a nucleus of the CIAPR with Eng. Daniel Montalvo presiding the group. The Chapter was formally established on June 2001 long after a series of changes and reforms to the CIAPR\u2019s regulations and acts.<\/p>

The Engineer Daniel Montalvo was selected as the first president of the Chapter in 2001.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
