The project involves repair of two 96\u201d diameter Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) culverts under the Herbert Hoover Dike at the Structure S-135 Pump Station. The existing culverts were in poor condition and during a prior construction project, subsidence (sinkholes) were observed immediately adjacent to the northwest side of the existing pump station embankment and directly above the culvert locations. The trenchless rehabilitation included the use of a chemical grouting consisting of hydro-insensitive, high-density, polyurethane polymers (HDPP) injected and pressure controlled through drilled ports that penetrated through the CMP at specified locations accessed from the culvert\u2019s interior. Once the culvert grouting remediation was completed and accepted, the culverts were repaired by using the cured in place pipe (CIPP) method.
